You probably know that reusable water bottles made from BPA free plastic or stainless steel is much better than buying the plastic one-time use bottles at the store. (if you didn’t, just pick one up next time you’re out) But, what do you do when you’re out and you didn’t bring your reusable water bottles and your kids are thirstin’ to death? You end up picking up a bottle of water at the checkout.
If you’re like me, sometimes that bottle gets left in the car or diaper bag half empty because you had so many other things to grab on your way in the house. Then you end up leaving it there for days and don’t drink it. I think the water sometimes get a funky taste and smell to it when you leave it too long and then I don’t like drinking it. But, don’t throw that water away. Stick it in your plants, water the dog or cat and then recycle the bottle with the cap off. You won’t waste the unused water, the bottle can be recycled and you won’t feel so bad for picking up yet another water bottle!
