My baby girl sang at her very 1st Pre School performance, ever! I am one proud mamma!
In honor of Veteran’s Day, the kids were to sing Yankee Doodle and I’m In The Lord’s Army, in front of their parents at a Spaghetti Dinner. Ella was so nervous! She cried about it, she got excited about it, she whined about it, she dreamed about it…she is my emotional drama queen. ( I am so in for some rough teenage years for sure!) She practiced and practiced her little songs and hand motions and was excited and ready for tonight. I really wasn’t sure if when the time came if she’d do it…and to be honest, I really expected her to not.
But, when the time came…her little friend took her by the hand and led her to the front of the room and held her hand tight. It was so adorable! Ella looked nervous, but sang her little songs and gave us some smiles and thumbs up!
I was so happy that she overcame her fears and she was so proud of herself for doing so. My heart has been swelling with pride ever since!
Oh – and in case you’re interested…I have the whole 7 minutes on video. (they sung the songs twice!) That’s right…I’m going to be one of those moms and proud of it! : )

Ella did a great job! I can vouch for that
I have to say I was tearing up a bit during the first set. Pretty amazing to see my little niece grow into a young lady. When we got home we reviewed the video footage (several times) and you can see both the girls were much more comfortable the second time around. Really fun night! And you are exactly right, I can’t imagine what they’ll be like as teenagers but watch out world!

They were pretty darn adorable! Thanks to Eva, Ella went up there. Eva grabbed her hand and Ella looked at me like a deer caught in headlights. LOL She didn’t even have time to whine to me about it. I am so glad she did that! Ella wanted to be up there so bad, but was so nervous!
I got all teary too! Honestly, I was so nervous for her, I wasn’t even hungry! Geez!
omgosh, she is so stinkin’ cute! Good for her!

Congratulations on your little girl feeling the fear and doing it anyway! An inspiration to us all. She’s truly adorable!

You know, you’re right! She was so scared and did it! It takes a lot for a 3 yr old (or a 30yr old for that matter!) to get up in front of a room of adults and sing! Quite an inspiration for sure!
Yay! Go her!!! That is so awesome!!!!!!

Thanks, Brittany! I agree!
That’s so cute that she sang Yankee Doodle. If it were me, I’d be close to tears I’m sure and just beaming with pride. But then I’m pretty emotional anyways.
