We’re home from our vacation. It was a great time. It never seems long enough though. I’m going to update you all with some awesome photos once I get them all organized.
In the meantime, I need to get back to reality. How in the world are there so many things to do when you’ve been gone a week? Nobody was here. Nothing got messed up. Yet, I see a million things that need to be done. Yesterday, I was cleaning out drawers and cabinets and I have a closet, a mountain of laundry and garage to tackle today.
Tomorrow, it’s back to work for me with a house full of daycare children. Seven to be exact. Just call me Kasey Plus 7. Doesn’t exactly have the same ring as Kate Plus 8 – but then again, I’m not on TV with producers coming up with some awesome life scenarios for me to experience. (Btw…I love the new show! Did you know Kate has her own blog?)
My life just consists of making meals, changing diapers, cleaning up messes and throwing some activities in there for fun. I think someone should follow me around for a week - I’m sure there would be some fun moments in there worth sharing with the world. I don’t think there has been a reality show about a mom with two kids of her own plus 5 more in her in-home daycare. Hey, TLC...call me!
I’m going to try to get back on my daily walking routine. I haven’t been doing it for a while and can really tell. My body feels stiff and I’ve gained some weight. Why is it that you don’t notice you’ve gained weight until you’re uncomfortable and miserable and you’re like 10lbs heavier than before?! I’m not sure if the breakfast my husband is making of bacon and pancakes will help my goal of dropping a few pounds, but it sure smells good!

It really is crazy how gets backed up after a vacation and almost washes away all the enjoyment from one, almost. Hopefully this week isn’t too bad for you and gets back on track. Can’t wait to see your vacation photos!
