Summer is the perfect time to try out new recipes with fresh, ripe blueberries from your local Farmer’s Market or Super Market.
Rich with antioxidants and nutrients, blueberries are the perfect addition to your yogurt in the morning, as an afternoon pick-me-up or on top of your ice cream before bed. ( you do have ice cream before bed, don’t you?!) You can’t go wrong with these fruits that are believed to aid in the prevention of heart disease, certain cancers, vision and to help reverse memory loss.
I personally LOVE blueberries! My husband jokes with me all the time when we go out, because if there is blueberry anything on the menu or in the case….I’ve gotta have it! I love blueberry muffins and make them quite often and just tried my hand at blueberry scones over the weekend. They turned out delicious! So delicious that I even took them to the Church picnic. I returned with an empty dish.
Here’s a link to my newest, favorite recipe that uses fresh blueberries – Blueberry-Orange Scones! Try them…you’ll love em’!

These do look delicious. Yummy. We have blueberry bushes in our park across the street and it is impossible to keep the kids from picking them all the time.
Oh wow! We would be in heaven! Maybe I need to plant a blueberry bush here.
