Yesterday I started back to work in my in-home daycare. That means in addition to my 3 kiddos, I have 4 more to take care of between the ages of 17 months and 4 years old. I’m not gonna lie…I was a little nervous to take them all back on with a newborn at home – a newborn who is still a little colicy. While she is doing better, we still struggle some days. Speaking of….
My sweet, sweet Sydney Grace is TWO MONTHS OLD this week! WOW! Where did the time go? And, she’s huge! She’s gained 3 pounds and 3 inches since her 1 week appointment. My baby girl is healthy and growing like a weed.
The daycare kids LOVE her! She was sleeping when they all got here…but as soon as she was up, they were in line to wash their hands so that they could give her lots of hugs. She even flashed some sweet smiles and gave them some of her new coos. It was the best!
The day went pretty well and it’s almost like we never took a break! Everyone knew what to expect and was well behaved! YAY! Thank goodness Brian is still here to help out over half the day. It sure makes things go much more smoothly.
So, we’re back to schedules, lots of diapers, preschool transportation and a lot more dishes! It’s a transition for us all…but we will be back into the groove in NO time!
