One of the things my 1st Grader loves about schools is taking her lunch. Ella LOVES healthy food and is excited when we fill her lunch box with carrot sticks, grapes, garbanzo beans and anything else that’s raw and fresh. Not typical for a 6 year old. She’s always been a huge fan of Horizon’s Organic Vanilla Milk – but we don’t always think to add them to her lunch box. It’s all too easy to grab a big ol’ package of juice boxes to add them to her packed lunch.
By switching out juice drink boxes for milk boxes in school lunches, you can replace ingredients like high fructose corn syrup and artificial preservatives often found in juice for the calcium, protein and vitamin D found in milk, all of which are important for growing kids. Since Horizon makes it easy to purchase shelf-stable milk boxes in your grocery store, it’s a no-brainer on which is the better choice.
There’s a lot of healthy swap outs you could do to make your child’s lunch a lot healthier. Here’s a few examples:

I’d like to try their strawberry milk and chocolate milk! Thanks for the opportunity!
