Here’s another guest post from my super crafty friend, Carrie from A Sweet Spot: Home. I love this idea!!

Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to start thinking ahead to Valentine’s Day. I’m not big into decorating my home for this holiday, but I definitely like to celebrate it through the foods that I serve. While we all think about serving big dinners with elaborate desserts, why not consider serving a fun Valentine’s Day breakfast to start the day off right? (And with all of the chocolate we’ll all be consuming, it doesn’t hurt to fit those fruits in early on, does it??)

I made this super simple breakfast one morning that consisted of heart shaped toast (what could be simpler?) and a perfectly pink Strawberry Banana Smoothie. Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I didn’t feel too bad about adding a bit of whipped cream on the top and just a couple of Valentine’s M&M’s. I wouldn’t want to give my kids a whole bag for breakfast, but just a couple is okay on this special day.

The adorable “Happy Valentine’s Day” party circle and grey and white paper straws will make even the most boring beverage fun. I ordered mine from The TomKat Studio, one of my absolute favorite “go-to” party sites. Tie your party circle around the neck of your mason jar with some twine and you’ve got a tasty and healthy treat to start the day off right!

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
