It has been one wet and soggy Spring! But, the sun has decided to show it’s face on and off for the past week and the temperatures have gone up…finally! That means, it’s time to get the outside of the house and yard spruced up and ready for warmer weather, cookouts, parties and just sitting outside enjoying the longer days. YAY!

Every year I plant flowers in the same planters on the front porch and buy hanging baskets. But, this year, I was ready for a little updating and some fresh fun colors. Being the penny pinching mom that I am, I hated to go out and spend $15+ dollars for new pots when the ones that I have are perfectly fine. So what’s a lady to do? I pulled out a can of spray paint, of course!

While at Lowes, I saw this Valspar Outdoor paint that looked perfect for my pot painting project! It even had painted flower pots on the front. Perfect!

I chose this green color that is actually close to my inside accent color that will be happening very soon! My plan is to paint the door Benjamin Moore’s Colorado Gray (which is really blue and will be inside, as well) and use pops of green everywhere else. Eventually, my whole house will coordinate! OH HAPPY DAY!!! It’s the little things, people! haha!

I pulled out my paint can and started spraying and in less than 20 minutes I was done! Love. Love. LOVE how they turned out!

And just LOOK at them planted on the porch. They look amazing AND brand new! I can’t wait to see them with the painted door. It’s coming!!

Check out my new pillows that I bought at Lowes and Pier 1. They are just adorable ! I’ll share more of them when I share my porch makeover. But, for now…the new  flower pots, pillows and entry rug have updated the space quite nicely.

I live for this stuff! haha! Just kidding…but it does make me very happy! Be on the lookout for the painted door post…I can’t wait to get started on it!
