YAY! It’s finished! Our little half bath in our downstairs has gotten a face lift and looks simply amazing, if I do say so myself! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve had a little sneak peak.

Updated Bathroom On A Budget - Super Cute!

This little closet of a room was plain white with white linoleum when we moved in. Nothing special and quite stark.

Bathroom before

We painted it a pretty blue (of course) and added tile flooring. It was an upgrade for sure, but I never got around to really decorating it. It’s mainly used by the daycare kids, so it sees a lot of wear and tear – from yuckies in the floor and walls to even holes in the wall from the door knob hitting over and over each day. Finally I had enough and was ready to make it pretty and sparkly clean! Thanks to Ace Hardware’s Buy One Get One Free on paints in May, I picked up paint for the bathrooms, hallway and front porch for a really great price! My husband was thrilled! haha!

I chose Spa Blue by Valspar but used Clark & Kensington paint. I thought it was worth a shot since it was about $15 cheaper and it’s supposed to be good paint! Though I could tell a difference between the coverage with it vs. Benjamin Moore (my favorite paint!) it looked great after two coats! I couldn’t be happier!

New wall and trim paint makes a huge difference in any room and when you add new accessories and fixtures – WOW! I LOVE it so much!

I painted the black mirror that already hung in there with Annie Sloan Chalk paint that was a mixture of Old White and White. I was told that it resembles a Pottery Barn white when you do it that way AND it does! The shelf over the toilet is a $1 yard sale score from Pottery Barn and it matches perfectly!

Since I do everything on a budget, I found some fun accessories from Target that were super cheap and some were even on clearance and some other things from around my house. And, my new chrome light fixture wasn’t bad either!
