One of the things I hope to instill in my children from a young age, is a sense of self-worth and confidence. I pray that they know just how special and unique they are. As much as I want these things for my kids, I also know how hard it is in today’s world with peer pressure. I may not be able to do away with the negativity that may come their way, but I can do my best to keep them confident and keep open lines of communication so that whenever they have questions or something is bothering them, they can come to me and their dad for help instead of keeping it inside.

As my two oldest are more active in school and sports, I believe they’re learning to be more confident in themselves and their abilities. This year, Ella is playing soccer and taking tumbling and Andrew is playing his first year of football. They each did a couple of summer sports camps that really helped them be more confident in themselves, too! It was so great to see them so proud at the end of those weeks!

As a family, we’ve been doing more active things together. I didn’t grow up being super active. I played with my friends when I was little and was a cheerleader into high school, but that was about it. I am now loving getting out as a family and walking, running and just being more active overall. I think it’s great for the kids to see me being active and taking an interest in myself and the way I eat. I then see them trying to do the same. They are definitely my inspiration for wanting to be better in all that I do.

I was out the other day getting some back to school items and thought I’d pick the kids up some new activewear to get them excited about their new fall sports. They loved it! I found some great new items from Champion GEAR at Sports Authority at a great price! For Ella I got the cutest rouched capris and mesh-pieced active t-shirt. They are made from the softest material that is so comfortable! Ella even asked if we could get her more!

For Andrew, I found the perfect clothes to go under his football uniform – a short-sleve compression t-shirt and shorts (which are under the red shorts he has on in this picture). He feels really grown up and ready to play some football in his new outfit!

Sometimes it just takes a new outfit to get you motivated to work out a little more or feel good about yourself. I am a big believer in that. If that’s what it takes to get you out there and moving more, go for it! The NEW Champion GEAR is a great line to pick up, too! Champion GEAR’s Moisture Wicking Fabrics are quick drying and exclusively at Sports Authority (an exclusive line of Champion apparel). It has an exclusive seamless technology, high tech, luxury feel at a great value: “Seamless comfort. Pure Performance.”

Check out Champion GEAR exclusively at Sports Authority for yourself! It’s a great value and worth the buy!
