Karissa is writer and editor at Prissy Green as well as recently becoming a store owner! Her store will feature natural and eco-friendly bath, body and beauty products, set to open very soon! She has had a love for beauty products since a young age, always spending her babysitting money on eyeshadows and shampoos, even before she was allowed to wear them.
Karissa also features many DIY home skin care recipes, nearly every Monday like the one below.
Refresh hot feet!
I don’t know about everyone else, but the more cooped up my toes are in shoes and socks, the more they ache. I always feel like I need to let the dogs breathe!
So here is a very simple recipe you can use to refresh feet, and keep some circulation flowing!
Rosemary Mint Hot Feet Refresher
Ingredients:
1/2 cups sea salt. (fine)
1/4 cup of Coconut oil (or more if you have sensitive feet)
10 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil
6 drops of Peppermint Oil
Visit Prissy Green for the complete recipe and to learn more about this fabulous blogger!

Meet…
Becky Jomama
Sweet Abundance
First and foremost I am a child of the King and my life is dedicated to The One who saves me on a daily basis. Next in my heart is my WONDERFUL man. He is my very own Prince Charming and my best friend! I love him with all of my heart and Thank God for him daily. And then, there are my children. Two handsome men that The Lord gave to me through my marriage. They are strong men with so much of their dad in them they are IMPOSSIBLE not to love! Two beautiful little ladies that the Lord gifted us through the miracle of adoption. They are my heart and soul and life without them would be no life at all! They are sweet, loving and precious and … oh, I could go on and on…
There are also a few things that I am passionate about. I love music – almost every kind, but the songs that rock my world are the ones that glorify my Lord. I love a good movie – old ones (Roman Holiday) as well as not so old (You’ve Got Mail), all the way to the “new classics” (Passion of The Christ, Facing The Giants, and of course, Finding Nemo!!). Maybe they are only “classics” in my own little mind, but they are STAPLES here in our world!!! I am also passionate about finding a cure for Breast Cancer, which is why I do this every year:
Because EVERYONE deserves a lifetime. My BFF Paula didn’t get hers, it is my personal goal to make sure the two sweet angels she left behind get theirs!
So, in a (not so small) nutshell that is me. Pretty much I am just a girl who has been blessed with a wonderful life and started a blog to share pictures of that life with the ones she loves. In the course of it all I have made some pretty cool bloggy buddies – AKA “the Siestas” – and am hoping to make some more!
I do not promise that it will always be exciting, but I do promise that it will ALWAYS be straight from my heart!!!!!
Let me know ya stopped by and I will be sure to return the favor!!!
Blog at ya later,
Becky Jo

Did you know that 22,000 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer this year? If you didn’t, chances are neither do the women in your circle or your readers.
In accordance with their mission to educate women, Seventh Generation has teamed up with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) to dedicate one day where women would start talking about ovarian cancer and to try to raise much need donations to help educate women on the signs of ovarian cancer.
They’ve created “Let’s Talk… Period” Day and a website, www.LetsTalkPeriod.com where they’re encouraging people to log on September 1st. When you register your email address, Seventh Generation will make a $1 donation to the OCRF, with an overall donation of $22,000 representing the women that will be diagnosed this year. The website has information on ovarian cancer signs, symptoms, risk factors and prevention, because the best way of prevention is through education.

“Not Me” Monday!
August 10, 2009 by Kasey

It’s a “Not Me” Monday! Yay! I love the day I get to confess all my deepest, darkest, mommy confessions…or really just a few things I’d rather forget from the week!
Make sure to join in the fun by heading over to see MckMama over at My Charming Kids and share your link!
This week I did not spend most of the week sending my daughter to “time out” for throwing fits and stomping around. Nope, not my daughter. She is the most perfectly behaved child and would NEVER act in such a way in public or at home. No sir!
I most certainly did not leave dirty dishes on the counters and in the sink for my husband to do when he got home from work at night because I just could not handle doing one more dish. Not me! I ALWAYS have a sparkling clean kitchen with never a dish or spoon left in the sink after a meal. Nope, not me!
I did NOT not shower more than twice this week due to waking up too late to start the day. Not me! I am always freshly showered with perfectly applied makeup and styled hair. I most certainly do not EVER search through the dirty clothes pile for the most “clean” looking and smelling clothes to wear because the wash hasn’t been done in a week. No, not me! I have a load of laundry going at all times so that no member of my family goes without a clean shirt or pants. No, not me! I am Martha Stewart!

This is a hard one because I take sooo many pictures of the kids. Here’s one of my all time favorites. It’s of my little girl holding her baby brother right after he was born. So sweet, genuine and precious!

Hopping Around The Blogosphere
July 16, 2009 by Kasey
Filed under Blog Talk, Living Life, Reviews & Promotions

If you’re new to my blog or if you have been following already - WELCOME! I’m new in this Mommy Blogger Boom and am LOVIN it! I’ve been blog hopping and basically soaking in every bit of info to figure this whole thing out. I’ve sooo enjoyed seeing and reading all the other blogs out there and have learned so much already. I have some favorites, but am adding to that list daily. From time to time, I’ll be featuring a Mommy Blogger and even have some guest bloggers on. It’s just a way for me to get to know you all better and hopefully introduce you to someone you may not have known before. Make sure to introduce yourself while you’re here as well so that I can get to know you too!
One blog that I find myself drawn to (along with a million other moms) is from MckMama over at My Charming Kids. I LOVE her photos and her posts seem to pull you in. She seems like someone that you can meet for the first time and just sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee (or green tea) with and feel like you’ve been friends forever. I’ve grown to love her kids and her story and her precious baby, Stellan. If you are by chance living on another blogosphere and haven’t checked her out…by all means do!
MckMama has some amazing photos on her site and has recently placed all of her photographing tips in one section. So, today while the kids were running around like wild animals napping peacefully, I decided to play a little with my camera and photo software to see what I could do. WOW! With just a few adjustments on the camera and playing around with the color, my photos look awesome! Take a look…
Before

After
Before
After
OK, so this is just my first stab at this. I’m sure I’ll get better with practice. Hey! Not too shabby if I do say so myself. I shoot with a Canon Powershot A590. It’s just a simple camera, but it takes really good pictures normally. You can adjust some basic settings just like MckMama suggests and there ya have it…artsy, more crisp looking photos.
If you’re like me, I take a million photos of my kids and really only get a few good ones from time to time. With the tips MckMama hands out, you can take better pics every time and hopefully have more good ones to choose from!
Here’s a few more I played with…

If you head over to see MckMama, make sure to tell her I sent you! : ) You’re gonna fall in love with her blog as much as her photos!
*Make sure to share your photos with me if you try this out. I’d love to see them!

Not me! Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.
Week #2 for me on this Not Me! Stuff. I kinda enjoy it! : )
I most definitely did not lay around all day Saturday putting off my huge to-do list because I was NOT tired (hungover) from going out on my 3rd date with my husband in 3 years. Nope – Not me!
I did NOT spend WAYYYY too much money on one meal that could be put towards bills or groceries. That would be too irresponsible.
I did not leave a half eaten rabbit that the cat had caught in the yard for my husband to clean up, even though I am more than capable of doing it myself.
I did not put off doing laundry all week and when I finally did it…I did not leave it in baskets until my poor daughter had to come searching for underwear. It was not 3 days later that I (my husband) finally put it away. Nope – not me!
I did not continue to put off returning those overdue library books. I always return my books on time and NEVER have fines so much that I could have bought the books to begin with. Hey, the kids are really enjoying their books! : )
AND I most definitely did not start a Not me! Monday! list last Monday that I did not continue to lose all week. And I didn’t start 5 lists and I did not lose them them all!
