It’s no secret that I LOVE green, healthy products for my family and my home and I LOVE trying new green, healthy products out! So, when a Green company comes knocking on my door (or in my inbox!) and asks me to test out a product and give my thoughts to all my friends (that would be YOU!)…I’m MORE than happy to do so!
Today I’m gonna introduce you to a great green company called ecostore USA….
ecostore NZ was founded more than 15 years ago by Melanie and Malcolm Rands from their home in an eco village in New Zealand.
All of the families that lived in the farm based eco village shared a commitment to organic growing and healthy living, making this an ideal environment in which a young, environmentally conscious business could thrive. MY THOUGHTS
I was given the choice of any 2 products ecostore USA has to offer to check out and being the green cleaning product lover that I am, I chose the Auto Dish Powder and Citrus Spray Cleaner.
I’m a real stickler when it comes to my dishes, so I was really checking the glasses and silverware as they came out of the dishwasher after using the Auto Dish Powder. (both that seem to come out yucky without a quality product) They were clean and spotless! I didn’t notice any food specs, film or streaks on any of the dishes. They were just as clean as when I used my regular brand. I loved that it was a powder that you only had to use a little bit of. Less product packaging, means less waste – and that’s a good thing!
The Citrus Spray Cleaner did an equally good job of cleaning off the stove, counter top, refrigerator doors and whatever else I could find to wipe down in the kitchen. The smell was very light and almost barely noticeable. There were no worries of using it around the kids or breathing it in while using it. It wiped away clean and didn’t leave a film or streaks. Everything “felt” clean after using it. No sticky residue like you get from some non-green products.
I was VERY pleased with the performance of both of these products. I would definitely recommend them to you and will be trying more from the ecostore USA line myself!

Meet Tinky and Nut.
They are the first Build-A-Bear animals to join our family. Tinky came to join us for Ella’s 2nd Christmas from her Aunt Kari and Nut on Ella’s 3rd Birthday. Ella loved going to the Build-A-Bear store at the mall and picking out Nut to join Tinky at our home. She helped stuff her, put her little “beating” heart in, fluffed her up and dressed her in baby clothes! She has really enjoyed these two stuffed gals to death.
Now, meet Holly and Hal. They are the two newest members of our family!

I was so excited to be asked by Build-A-Bear to welcome these adorable moose into our family. I just knew Ella and Andrew would love them!
We saved them for Christmas morning and put them under the tree from Santa. You should have seen the look on Ella’s face when she saw the signature boxes sitting there! She ripped right into them and they’ve been hanging out with Tinky and Nut ever since.

It’s amazing to watch as your child’s face lights up as their new toy is brought to life by stuffing and a little love.

As a mom of 2 small children, my experience with electronic games has been “zero”. I have not even picked up an electronic game since the Nintendo Gameboy YEARS ago. So, when Leapfrog contacted me and offered to send the Leapfrog Leapster2 and the Zippity Learning System for my family to try out AND 1 of each to giveaway here at All Things Mamma – I was all game!
First off, the Leapster2 is not your Gameboy, by any stretch. It has wonderful color graphics, sound that is actually easy to understand, a touch screen and comes with educational, yet FUN games.

“As children play on the go, they can earn rewards, then connect online to explore additional games, activities or the creativity studio. So, not only are your children entertained for hours (or not if you don’t let them play until they can’t hold their head up anymore!) but they are learning solid school skills that will take them through preschool into elementary school! I was amazed at how fast Ella picked up on playing the game and playing it well! She has learned to determine uppercase letters from lowercase letters, counting, order of events, and responsibility.

We have not even began to explore the online resources, but have set it up. I am looking forward to checking it all out!
This is definitely a “toy” that you will want to purchase for your child that will give back to them in many ways that you can be proud of!
The new Zippity Learning system is a fun, interactive game that your children play while hooked up to your TV. Think of it as a Wii for kids. Jumping, hopping, running and dancing all while learning are all part of this fun game!

The Zippity was enjoyed by all of us! From my 19 month old who could easily “bop” the bopper or jump up and down like a frog to my husband who was getting down with Goofy’s dance moves! Definitely a fun, interactive game that will keep your kids moving and grooving!

Marcal uses paper collected from curbs in residential neighborhoods in cities and towns across America; from the small blue baskets in office buildings, unwanted junk mail, and waste from printers; all in an effort to do something good… to produce something that people need. Marcal uses no chlorine bleach, dyes or fragrances in their products thus creating a hypoallergenic paper product.
Did you know that Americans throw out 210 tons of waste each year and that much of it is paper? Over 40% of the paper that would ordinarily end up in the landfill, can be recycled and Marcal takes advantage of that! Marcal was kind enough to send me over a whole case full of their products to try out and report back to all of you on and I have to say, I was impressed! The napkins were soft and absorbent, the towels were able to clean a variety of messes and hold up well and the toilet tissue was…well….great! I was very surprised at how long the toilet tissue lasted. We normally go through a roll in my household in about 2-3 days. The Marcal toilet tissue lasted over a week!
I will definitely buy Marcal Paper products for my family in the future…ONCE we run out of the Marcal products we currently have. They last much longer than our normal paper products!

I don’t think there’s a women out there that’s not looking for a great deal these days and TJ Maxx and Marshalls has got you covered!
I was more than excited when I was invited by TJ Maxx and Marsharll’s to head over to my local store and do a little shopping on them and report my savings back to all of you, my wonderful bloggy friends!
I took my favorite little shopper with me to look for some great deals one Saturday afternoon.
Yep..that’s nerdy me taking our picture in a mirror and Ella practicing her new found bubble blowing skills.
I shop at TJ Maxx quite often, but had a hard time deciding what to buy on this particular day. The shelves and racks were full of great deals and bargains. Name brand purses, shoes, sweaters, jewelry, perfume… it was all there and at unbelievably low prices.
I also LOVE the home decor section. I could spend 2 hours roaming around and looking at all that they have to offer. So, as much as I need to buy something for myself to wear for the Fall – I ended up with items for my home. OH – and one fashion item for myself!
I ended up leaving with….
An area rug for the back entry way, a pair of Liz Claiborne sunglasses, a set of Kitchen Aid measuring spoons, and a candle from For Everybody.
All this for $25!! Can you believe it?! I don’t know about you, but I get a thrill from a great deal! And you know what…I want you to spend an afternoon out with your best shopping buddy courtesy of TJ Maxx and Marshalls. So, I’m going to give one of you MY $25 Marshalls Gift Card!! Yipppeeee!
