Big Sister, Little Brother

Each day I see my children growing closer together, becoming best friends.  Ella is really starting to take on the Big Sister role and I find her taking care of her little brother – making sure he doesn’t get hurt, teaching him how to do things and just playing and being with him.

Last week before going to bed one night, I came into the living room to find the kids like this…

The Difference A Year Can Make

I can’t believe another year has come and gone so quickly.  Last year at this time, we lived in a different town with a 2 yr old and a 8 month old. This year, my babies aren’t such babies anymore!  Ella is 3 1/2 and Andrew is 18 months. Our home is full of laughter, love and lots of noise!  WOW!  What a difference a year can make!

This Halloween we spent time together having a nice lunch with family, carving pumpkins and Trick or Treating later in the evening.  The weather was perfect and the kids were too!  We had a great day with lots of happy memories.

Special Moments

We are really enjoying Fall and what’s left of the nice weather before the cold sets in.  This past weekend, we headed to the local park for some duck feeding and playground time.

I love this photo of the kids.  They are really just starting to play with each other and it’s so fun watching them.  I have a feeling  there’s going to be many more of these adorable moments as they grow and become closer.

Fall Fun!

This past weekend, we packed up the kids and headed to the local Pumpkin Patch for some pumpkins and mums.  So much fun!  Ella was in search of the perfect pumpkin.  Andrew was in awe and spent the entire time running around and touching all the pumpkins and “telling” us all about it in his own little language.  So cute!  I wasn’t able to get any pictures of him looking at me because he was so into it.  HaHa!

After some searching, we found some great Fall treasures and EVEN a homemade Apple Pie!

Fall Goodness & Comfort

With Fall here and the chilly weather setting in, we tend to think of comfort foods as the days get shorter.  I tend to think of Apples and Pumpkins and all the ways you can prepare some yummy goodness for your family.
